My partner and I had massages at Eagle Dancer and the experience was totally transcendental! Omkari and Scott were our practitioners - they are so skilled at what they do and such genuinely warm people. We felt like peaceful and happy wet noodles post treatment!
The property is stunning, unlike any place I’ve ever been. The owners put their heart and soul into it, and you can feel that everywhere. Iona, one of the owners, arranged our massages and kept in touch with helpful details about how to access the property. I had a prenatal massage and mentioned how much I liked the pregnancy pillow Omkari used, and Iona sent me the link for the pillow the next day. Truly kind and thoughtful people! Can’t recommend Eagle Dancer enough.

My girlfriend and I absolutely loved this place. Iona and her husband were very kind when we arrived and walked us through the property. It is the perfect getaway, and has the best views in Sedona. The entire property is peaceful, very well-kept, and the staff is five star. We got private massages from Omkari and Scott, and they were the best massages we have ever had. Additionally, we had a private "wine and sip", including painting the Eagle Mountain/surrounding landscape, led by a local artist named Sterling. Overall, it was a 10/10 experience, with the hospitality and property being top notch. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting Sedona!

The "Red Rock Recovery Special" (their therapeutic foot soak + full-body Chinese therapeutic massage) was a game-changer. The warm herbal foot bath worked miracles on our aching feet, while the skilled therapists used authentic techniques to relieve every knot and tension point from our hikes. This wasn't just relaxation - we could actually feel the healing happening with each precise movement.
What stood out most was how the therapists listened carefully and adjusted perfectly to our specific needs. After our 90-minute session, we walked out feeling completely transformed - ready to enjoy the resort's beautiful pool and amenities without any lingering soreness. For Eagle Dancer guests looking for authentic recovery after outdoor adventures, this is an absolute must-try.
Pro tip: Book your appointment after visiting the resort's nearby hiking trails - your body will thank you! The foot soak comes with different herbal options - we particularly enjoyed the invigorating peppermint blend.

HOLY COW!! To say this place exceeded our expectations, would be an understatement. My husband and I wanted to go on a hiking trip and someone suggested Sedona. (Note: we've never hiked before!) We also like to eat and drink wine so thought this was a good spot even if we wound up not liking the hiking. We went in early December and the weather was chilly in the morning but warmed up during the day. We hiked for hours four of the six days we were there. We loved it! As other reviewers have mentioned, the trailheads are on the property. You literally walk out your door onto the mountains. We found Eagle Dancer by doing a Google search and wondered how could a place have all five-star reviews? Now we know why. The location is fantastic; the hosts are phenomenal; and the activities are amazing. Seriously. There is absolutely nothing negative about this place. There are only a few rooms (all with fireplaces) so it feels very private. We stayed in the Upper Casita. I think it had the best possible view and would highly recommend that room. It does not matter that there is not a restaurant here because there are many restaurants within a short drive and there is a Whole Foods at the bottom of the hill where you can pick up snacks/breakfast. The hosts also stock a mini fridge with complimentary snacks. Yes, complimentary! Yogurt, granola bars, nuts and more. When we were there they offered a wellness package and we signed up for it. We got fresh juice in the morning and participated in daily meditation and Yin yoga. We loved it even though we had never done anything like that before. We also enjoyed a sound bath for the first time and are now totally addicted and looking for sound baths in our hometown. We also enjoyed a couple's massage and loved it. The spa is not a traditional large indoor spa facility but there is a sauna, steam room, hot tub and pool. It is all outside and the views are spectacular. I literally could go on and on but suffice it to say you will not be disappointed if you stay here. We are deciding whether to go back in the summer or winter. We missed it the moment we left. A Transformational Stay in Sedona
This past October, I had the privilege of staying in one of the most breathtaking, healing, and transformative places I have ever experienced — Eagle Dance Lodge & Retreat Center in Sedona, Arizona.
My partner Rob and I stayed for three nights, and every moment felt intentional, sacred, and deeply restorative. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed not as guests, but as family. The warmth, care, and presence offered by Iona and Huib created an environment that was instantly calming and safe.
I am a daily meditator and have been practicing since 2020, but the guided meditation we experienced inside their private residence took my journey to a new depth. Sitting with Iona and Huib was grounding, emotional, and beyond words. I felt a warmth within myself that I thought I had lost.
For Rob, this was his very first real experience with meditation and energy work. He arrived with natural reservations, but by the first morning, he had fully embraced the process. Watching him open emotionally and spiritually was beautiful. This retreat touched both of us in lasting ways.
One of the highlights was an unforgettable sound bath on a cliff overlooking Sedona’s red rocks. The experience became even more magical when we were joined by local wildlife — including a group of javelina — making it feel ancient, wild, and deeply grounding.
We also shared a couples massage that redefined bodywork for us entirely. It was releasing and renewing, performed by practitioners who were truly gifted and intuitive.
The property itself is stunning. The views are the best I have seen in my lifetime. The accommodations exceeded our expectations — peaceful, luxurious, and clearly designed with healing in mind. The pool, sauna, and aromatherapy sanctuary are immaculate, and the trailheads right on the property make it easy to immerse yourself in nature at any moment.
Iona’s guidance extended far beyond the retreat experience. From dining recommendations to revealing one of the most magical lunch spots I’ve ever experienced, every detail felt thoughtfully curated. Each morning, she greeted us with the warmest embrace — a small gesture that meant everything.
One particularly powerful moment came when Huib encouraged me to go barefoot into the red rocks and release emotion. I did. I screamed, cried, and let go. And I left pieces of heaviness behind that I didn’t even realize I was carrying.
Two months later, the healing continues to unfold. The calm and clarity I gained remain with me. Iona is not simply the owner of this space — she is a master at helping others reclaim their power. She carries profound wisdom about feminine and masculine energy, personal healing, and intentional living.
Since returning home, I have even continued with virtual sessions and will be returning to join Iona’s Coherence Center program, Heart Mapping. This work blends science and spirit in a way that creates true inner peace.
This is not a typical resort.
This is a sanctuary.

Very private, quiet, luxury resort. Our room had a phenomenal view and we enjoyed all the amenities- sauna/steam room etc. So nice to have access to hiking trailheads from the resort as well. Very personalized experience from check in to check out- we’re given resort tour on arrival as well as a complementary bottle of wine for the room. We wish we could stay longer than a night but will definitely be back. Thank you!

All I can say is this place is just MAGICAL!! We were here to celebrate my birthday and our anniversary and couldn’t have imagined a more perfect stay. The attention to detail in every space created the most serene, beautiful, relaxing and rejuvenating stay. Beautiful wine selection organized in every room. Amazing views, incredible service- I could go on and on! We’ll definitely be back and will be recommending this place to everyone we know.
